Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a form of cooperation between libraries, where one library lends documents to another library, or provides copies of fragments of documents. If users does not find the required item in their own library, they can order publications or copies of articles from the collection of the Oak Growth Library. This service has been available to the public for a number of years, and from 1 October 2022 it is possible to order the desired book or publication from another library for FREE. You only need to pay for this service when you want to download copies of documents.

From 13 November 2023, readers can also order publications independently via ibiblioteka.lt.

How to order a service

  • The service is available to libraries in the region that have signed a ILL agreement;
  • The order can be placed by the reader independently via ibiblioteka.lt or by the library staff through the ILL system (e-mail: tba@azuolynobiblioteka.lt)
  • The deadline for the return of items is set by the Oak Growth Library;
  • Publications from the Archive Collection and those marked “In Place” are not available for lending;
  • Encyclopedias, dictionaries, dissertations, old and rare publications, etc. are not loaned by the Library;
  • Periodicals are not available for loan; only copies of articles may be requested;
  • Orders sent out are not cancelled.

Publications can be found and ordered via ibiblioteka.lt, “Order a publication through TBA”.
