Children and Youth Space (1st floor)

A new addition greets visitors on the 1st floor – the Children and Youth Space, making its debut after relocating from 8 K. Donelaičio Street. Here, not only will you find a wide selection of publications in a more comfortable and spacious environment, but you can also indulge in moments of reading and enjoy board games amidst the bright and cozy ambiance of the Children and Youth Space. To accommodate the mobility of our young audience, special non-slip flooring, slightly softer than traditional parquet or stone, has been installed on this floor. For young people aged 12 and over.

Here, seekers of thematic and professional literature will find a haven, along with the library’s sole indoor reading space—the Silent Reading Room—also dedicated to the archival collection of national published documents. For those craving peace and concentration, our Silent Reading Room offers a tranquil, undisturbed environment where every word can be savored without distraction.
