Residence of Inventions
Embark on a journey of creativity in the Oak Grove Library’s “Residence of Inventions” – a dynamic makerspace. This workshop is equipped with tools specifically tailored for individual creation, including a laser engraving machine, sewing and edgebanding machines, a heat press, a soldering station, grinding and cutting machines, a plotter, and a variety of other tools – all designed to foster imaginative expression.
Children and young enthusiasts of building and programming will discover exciting activities at the Residence of Inventions, where they can access Lego WeDo2 robotics kits, Lego Mindstorms construction kits, Fishertechnik engineering kits, and Micro:Bit, Arduino Uno 3, and Raspberry Pi programming kits for children aged 7 and above.
For the curious inventors, there’s also the opportunity to utilize a 3D printer, experiment with the capabilities of a Wacom graphic tablet, or simply enjoy socializing and playing virtual and board games with friends. All activities are free of charge for participants who bring their own materials such as 3D filament, wood, textiles, etc.
Situated on the 1st floor, the “Residence of Inventions” also hosts regular integrated excursions and educational activities suitable for entire classes or groups of friends.
