During the reconstruction period, the library, more modestly and tightly packed, served visitors at the building located at K. Donelaičio St. 8 / Lydos St. 2. We would like to thank our visitors for their patience during the inconveniences, and we are glad that from 19 January 2024 you can enjoy the spacious renewed premises and services in the library building at on Radastų St. 2. Here, you will find the Star and Oak Halls, the Children and Youth Space, the Residence of Inventions, computer workstations, individual work and meeting rooms, the Park Square, the Gallery, the Relaxation Oasis, the Knowledge Hub, and cozy, bright spaces adapted to various needs for comfortable reading.
Until the second phase of the library modernization is completed, the K. Donelaičio St. 8 building will house the Art and Music, Kaunistics, and Old and Rare Publications reading rooms, the Educational Space, the Old Books Museum, and the Training Classroom, and will host various exhibitions and events.
