Services

The Oak Library offers a wide range of free services for quality work and study, leisure and recreation, self-expression, development and new discoveries. The library’s space is convenient for work, as you can print, copy, scan documents, manuscripts, postcards or photos, or copy audio recordings on site.
In the modernised library at Radastų St. 2, you can book individual or group work space for undisturbed study and leisure time. K. Donelaičio g. 8, you will find the Old and Rare Prints, the Kaunas Studies, the Art and Music Reading Rooms, which will be useful when you are looking for information on specific topics.The library provides open Wi-Fi, computers, and access to various databases, all available for free. These databases are invaluable for research papers, scientific work, and other projects, making it easier and faster to access accurate information.For those engaged in research and in need of specific information, the Interlibrary Loan service is available. This free service allows readers to request books or articles from any public library in Lithuania. If an item is not available in our library, visitors can contact a librarian who will assist in ordering the desired document.We support the education of our visitors by offering free consultations to help improve their skills. Visitors can learn how to use various information retrieval tools, such as catalogues, card catalogues, the library’s electronic catalogue, databases, bibliographies, and reference works. Training is available both individually and in groups. Additionally, guided tours are offered to help familiarize people with the library’s collections, access procedures, information retrieval, internet resources, computer literacy, and other relevant topics.
