Oak Grove Library

A library-park that endlessly inspires knowledge, creativity, quality leisure, and discovery. Designed for the future.

Located in the greenest part of the city – the Little Oak Grove – the library is like a breath of fresh air for every visitor, helping them to create, explore, and grow.

Kaunas Oak Grove – the largest oak grove within a city territory in Europe. This unique, historically and culturally significant location, allowing a brief escape from the city’s noise without straying far from the Kaunas centre, inspired the new name for the library.

We are dedicated professionals who put our hearts in our work. We take on challenges with courage, inspiring everyone around us.

All this provides oxygen to the brain – it acquaints you with thousands of worlds, allows you to discover new opportunities for self-realisation, and experience inspiring intellectual adventures.

The Oak Grove Library serves as the methodological, bibliographic, and information centre for public and school libraries (excluding higher education institutions) in Kaunas and Marijampolė county municipalities. Here, library activities are researched, methodological and informational publications are prepared, information resources are shared, and professional assistance is provided.

The library constantly nurtures relationships with partners, friends, and funders. We are open and continuously collaborate with various businesses, academic institutions, and community organisations, organising events and implementing joint activities and projects. We seek innovative solutions in our work and in expanding the services we offer.
