To help to get used to books, we organise meetings with famous Lithuanian children’s book authors, educational activities, creative workshops, and participate in the Culture Passport programme. Every month, in cooperation with kindergartens and schools, we organise and exhibit art exhibitions for young creators.
Reading mornings
We like to say that the best time to read books is in the morning. After all, the earlier you start, the more you will read during the day. But it’s not just for this reason that children come to the library to read in the morning. Morning reading is the most popular and fun activity in the department. We read aloud, we read silently, we read together and alone, we play games, we laugh and we even do exercise – that’s what mornings are like!
A library in your school
We present the nominees of „the Book of the Year Awards“ to children and teenagers, offer various activities at fairs and city festivals, and implement projects with other Lithuanian libraries.
