GENIE project partners meeting in Vilnius: first steps towards a successful start

Genie susitikimas Vilniuje

The first international partners’ meeting of the project “GENIE: Generative AI for Inclusive Education and Empowerment” took place in Vilnius on 4-5 December 2024. The project is aimed towards developing and testing methodological materials for adult learners and educators to help them use AI tools effectively in their daily work.

The meeting, held at the Robotics School office, brought together representatives from four countries – Lithuania, Estonia, Slovenia and Italy. International team focused on the main aspects of the project’s activities and their implementation plan.

One of the most important initial activities of the project is a needs analysis, which will help to define the exact content and delivery format of the educational material. The partners discussed and evaluated the questionnaires developed for both learners and educators. Discussions have led to a range of suggestions for improvement and clear deadlines for implementation.

In addition, the following key project activities were given considerable attention:

  • Planning the content and structure of the methodological material;
  • The development of the functionalities and content of the project’s online platform;
  • Identification and involvement of stakeholders in the project.

The main outcomes of the meeting were:

  • All partners consolidated their responsibilities in the project, divided their teams and adopted a common motivated approach to work.
  • got to know each other’s strengths better, which will allow us to organise the creative tasks efficiently.
  • agreed on the process and timeframe for the development of the Needs Analysis Questionnaires.
  • gathered ideas and suggestions for the functionality and content of the online platform.
  • defined the stakeholders who will be involved in the project.
  • discussed key aspects of project management: dissemination, communication, reporting, financial issues, risk management and evaluation processes.
  • agreed on dates for international meetings and training.

After a productive meeting, the guests got to know Lithuania through VR glasses and took a walk around Vilnius together. It was a great opportunity not only to work, but also to build closer links between the project partners.
